Obligatory Dark Knight Post

Open Letters

1.) Dear Mr Bale: Great job. Go buy some lozenges for that raspy voice, though.

2.) Dear Ms Gyllenhaal: You are definitely a better actress than Katie Holmes, and this movie was all the better for it. However, you look like a basset hound. Sorry.

3.) Dear Heath: If ever there was a note to go out on (and man, did you go before your time), that was it. Bra-fucking-vo.

4.) Dear Nolan Brothers: Keep writing or I will send Beth Ditto after you.

So FUCKING GOOD omg. Want to see it again.

Hahahaha. I've been trying to figure out what Maggie Gyllenhaal reminded me of, and you are totally right: Basset hound! Also I don't know if you saw TDK on IMAX or not, but I saw it on a normal screen and the entire time that Rachel was on screen the only thing I could see was her giant philtrum. ITS SO LONG

A bunch of my friends and I are going to see it on Tuesday at the Metreon in IMAX, you are more than welcome to join :P

"Let me show you a magic trick"...
I fucking loved it. Bale overdid the batman voice a bit, but other than that, I think it kicked the first ones ass.
This wasn't quite his final movie, it turns out that The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus, the Terry Gilliam film that was about 1/3 completed when he died, is going to be finished with Jude Law, Johnny Depp, and Colin Farrell all stepping in to play Heath's character in the alternate worlds he was going to travel through.

But I agree that this was an unbelievable performance. I was worried that I was going to be distracted by the real-world events and not able to really absorb his performance objectively, but NO. THAT WAS NOT A PROBLEM.

And OMG thank you for not bringing Katie Holmes back.

Also, thank you for making Two-Face not a major supervillain because although I find the concept intriguing, I really have never enjoyed him -- coin-flipping, woohoo. But GAH! CGI CREEPY NASTY I CAN SEES YOUR TENDONS ICK. Wow did they do an incredible job on that.

So... it's unclear. Better or worse than the Jim Carrey one?
